Who We Are
An Award-Winning STEM Innovation, Consulting & Workforce Development Organization
Vanguard STEM Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit preparing high school students, college students, adult learners, and working professionals for the future of work through immersive STEM learning, executive mentorship, and real-world consulting experiences, with a commitment to expanding access and opportunity.
Participants do more than complete traditional coursework. They work in multidisciplinary teams to investigate authentic engineering, infrastructure, education, artificial intelligence, business, and workforce challenges. Through research, systems analysis, stakeholder engagement, project management, and executive presentations, participants develop professional recommendations designed to create measurable real-world impact.
Vanguard’s work has earned local, national, and international recognition. Students have received official resolutions from the City of Atlantic City, presented projects to global leaders, and developed recommendations that international representatives are advancing into formal proposals for potential implementation.
During Vanguard’s executive fireside chat, leaders and professionals representing Microsoft, Google, AWS, American Express, ACT Engineers, and the NAACP praised the students’ technical skills, professionalism, communication, and career readiness. Every featured leader stated that they would hire Vanguard students. A Google leader who serves on an interview board further noted that the skills demonstrated by Vanguard students were comparable to those expected at the managerial level and above.
